Music is an integral part of life here at the Church of the Ascension.

THE CHOIR

Although few in numbers the Choir joyfully provides the music for 11 am Worship Service led by Choirmaster and organist Philip Balson.

THE ELECTRIC KAZOO

The Electric Kazoo is the Ascension’s contemporary Christian music band.  It is made up of Ralph Mounter, Doug Frozel, Ray Landry, Michael White, Claire Goodhall-McMartin and Erma Howe.  They usually play at the 11 a.m. service on the first Sunday of every month.  

Blending guitars, drums, and vocals, they provide uplifting rhythms and sound to our worship.  

You may have seen them in our community performing at Gospel fest, and various Christian events, fundraisers and churches.  They also provide music for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, memorial and funeral services.The

THE EARLY BIRD SINGERS

The Early Bird Singers were formed in the spring of 2009. Music director Rev. Rhonda Hirst co-ordinated a group of parishioners who practice Sundays at 8:15am in the sanctuary (hence the choir's name). 

They sing one hymn after Communion at the 9:00am worship and are pleased to be joined by Rev. Anne.  Come and sing with them.  No audtions are required.
